From the founder

Why it exists

I've been fundraising for nearly two decades, and I've always been resistant to the tools I had access to. They were expensive and overly complex for the job. We were locked into vendor contracts, handing our sensitive data to companies with very little connection to our mission, vision, and communities. After a few months I would end up back inside a spreadsheet.

So I set out to design and build something I know I would use, and other social impact leaders would too.

Six commitments behind every screen

These describe what Actualize Funding is designed to be, and how each new piece of it is judged.

  • 01

    As simple as a spreadsheet

It should feel as familiar as the spreadsheet your team already keeps, and never more complex than the job needs.

  • 02

    User- and developer-friendly

Easy for the people who use it every day, and easy for the people who maintain it.

  • 03

    Privacy-focused

Your data is not handed to vendors with no connection to your mission, vision, and communities.

  • 04

    Affordable

Within reach for social impact organizations, with no vendor lock-in.

  • 05

    Fair terms

It does not lock you into lopsided terms and conditions.

  • 06

    Fits your tools

Designed so you are not jumping through hoops to fit your existing tools and workflows.

The product

What Actualize Funding does today

Four screens from the working product. The organizations, people, and amounts shown are invented samples.

Pipeline

A pipeline you can see at a glance

Every open ask, to an organization, a person, or a household, sits on one board from Identification to Commitment, with its amount and likelihood. Filter by owner or quarter, then drag a card, or pick a stage and press Move.

Grants

Deadlines that announce themselves

The grant tracker lists every application by deadline, marks the ones overdue or due within 30 days, and shows the ask, the dates, and the attached document.

Task Center

Every next step in one list

The Task Center gathers tasks for foundations, grants, campaigns, and events in one list you can filter by module, status, owner, or text, and update from the row.

Assistant

Ask a question, see how it was answered

The assistant answers questions about your own records and shows which query it ran above every answer. It can log an interaction, add a task, or move a stage, but only after you approve the change on a card that shows it first.
